Barry M nail polishes have been a staple on my fingertips and tootsies for a long time now and, with their great shade range and on-trend special releases, the brand seems to be able to do no wrong in the nail department.
They were one of the first on the high street to introduce the magnetic polishes and - following the recent love for shellac and shiny, glossy nails - released the raved-about Gelly polishes. The newest addition to their vast collection are the nail art pens.
The pens come in four colours - black, white, silver and pink - at £4.99 a pop. I decided to buy the classic black and white pens and I've been loving experimenting with them. The pens have a felt tip style nib rather than the usual metal point that can be found on most nail art pens. The nib helps to draw a design steadily and makes the whole process of nail art so much easier; it is akin to using a felt tip on paper.The formula of the polish is of Barry M's usual quality and the nib, to my surprise, has not dried out AT ALL. The polish comes out by pressing the nib down (like most nail art pens) but there is little excess and there are no 'blobs' that need sorting before application.
I've never really had much patience for nail art but I've been trying to be more adventurous of late and these pens make it so much easier! A definite recommendation for all the (slightly) lazy peeps!
